New ceiling in the gym

Dear Mr. Carl Lindauer,

My name is Selena Lopez and as a freshman, I have noticed that some of the places in our high school need to be improved all though I’m only going to mention one. The main thing I have noticed the most in our school is that the ceiling in the gym is tearing apart and needs to be improved. If we got a new ceiling in our gym, it would make the gym floor fit in.

If we got a new gym there would be some cons that go along with getting a new ceiling. We would have to figure out how much money it would cost and when the school would have the time to do it. The gym floor may be torn up and scratched because the workers would have to tear apart the ceiling in order to redo it. Some more cons to getting a new ceiling is finding the right workers, the ones who no what they are doing.

There are negative and positives that go along with getting a new ceiling, the positives are… It would make the gym floor fit in more than it does now, with a newer ceiling, the gym would look great! Perhaps, other teams from out of town will start complementing on our gym. Also if we got a new ceiling, it would be better isolated, the water damage would be repaired and balls will no longer get stuck.

Since it would take awhile to do the whole ceiling, we could figure out what sections of the ceiling need it the most and start there and work out to finish the rest. The parts of the ceiling that need it the most is the parts where is has water damage.

The Bird’s Movie Review

The film, The Bird’s is a film that is very interesting and in some parts very graphic. The special effects could be better than what they were. If the film The Bird’s was in the academy awards as of today, my opinion is that it wouldn’t win anything. I don’t think it would win anything because animated features today are much more improved than what they were when the film was first made. The animations in the film were poorly showed, I personally did not like the film, in some parts it did get interesting but in others it got really boring due to the poorly showed animations and you could tell the scenery in the film was not real. The film was supposed to be a horror movie but turned into a comedy because of how the animations and special effects were shown. I expected the movie to be scary and shocking but because of everything that was shown poorly the film sucked! Instead of being a horror movie, as i expeted, it didn't happen. THe movie became a comedy as it went on. The ending of the movie was really disappointing to me because it really didn’t have a definite ending, it didn’t show or tell you what really happened it just ended with no purpose. If I had to rate this film, I would give it two stars out of five because it didn’t have any good animations, scenery, or special effects. If I had to rate it as of today, I would give in zero stars out of five stars because movies today are animated very well and the filmmakers work on the movie to make it right.If the film was shown today in a theater, i don't think anyone would like it. I rated the film only two stars because it wasn't as interesting as i thought it would be. I rated it zero strs if i had to rate it as of today because movies today are much more improved.

The Most Dangerous Game

    It is an uncomon occerrence for somome to hunt another human. Richard Connel creates suspence throughout the story,"The most dangerous game" with cause and effect relatioships.
   "I wish to go today" said Raisford. "Rainsford observed"...the dead black eyes of the general on him. General Zaroff's face suddenly brightened." (Connel pg. 30). Rainsford wanted to go, the only way he could go is if he hunted with Zaroff. Rainsford didn't want to hunt. By the look on General Zaroff's face, Rainsford could tell Zaroff was up to something. Zaroff had something clever in mind, Rainsford could'nt tell what it was but had the feeling it was something bad.
   "If i wish to hunt, why should i not? I hunt the scum of the earth-sailors from tramp ships-lascars, blacks, Chinese, whites, mongrels-a thorobread horse of hound is worth more than a score of them." Zoroff was more into hunting animals, but as it went on, Zaroff became bored with hunting animals. He became facinated with hunting people. He hunted all sorts of people no matter what race they were. To Zaroff, a horse or hound is more important than a scum of people. Zaroff is now into hunting people more than animals. Hunting people is more of a challenge than hunting animals.
  "I am still a beast at bay," he said in a low, horse voice." Get ready, General Zaroff" (pg36). Since Rainsford became bored hunting animals, he became hunting people. Zaroff wanted Rainsford to go hunt with him but Rainsford didn't want to. Zaroff had a clever idea in mind. His idea, very clever, was that since Rainsford didn't want to go hunting, Zaroff would let him go and hunt him down.
  After almost three days of hunting, Rainsford decides that he is trapped. Zaroff keeps playing ming games with him.
